All events and training conducted by Globalcode are aimed at raising the technical level of the technology and entrepreneurship communities in Brazil, and also at forming collaborative networks among professionals.
This Code of Conduct applies to all Globalcode events and training, to all members of the community and to anyone who chooses to be involved in our events. It is intended to protect the public from harm and moral hazards.
Globalcode is dedicated to promoting a respectful and harassment-free community for everyone. We do not tolerate any form of harassment or intimidation by any participant in our events and trainings, whether audience, speakers, employees, or any members of the community.
Exhibitors, sponsors, suppliers and partners in general are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, they must not use images, activities or materials with sexual, homophobic, transphobic, pejorative and / or discriminatory content of any kind.
Harassment means, without limitation, offensive verbal or electronic comments, regarding personal characteristics or choices, racial origin, gender, as well as sexual, racist, homophobic, transphobic or discriminatory comments or images of any nature in public or digital spaces, deliberate intimidation, bullying, stalking, tracking, photographs or recordings that generate embarrassment, repeated interruptions to lectures, chats, electronic meetings, physical meetings or other events, inappropriate physical contact or unwanted sexual attention.
Participants are expected to immediately comply with requests to discontinue any harassing or bullying behavior. Be kind to each other. Do not insult or offend other participants. Behave professionally. Remember that harassment, sexism, racism or exclusion jokes are never appropriate, no matter where.
Any participant who violates these rules may be asked to withdraw from the event, without refund, at the sole discretion of the organizers, without prejudice to other applicable legal measures.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, event or training officials may take such actions as they deem appropriate, from alerts the offender to the prohibition of their participation in other events and training promoted by Globalcode.
If you are harassed, notice that someone is being harassed, or have other concerns, please act to intercept or ask the event or training organizers or representatives for help in order to place the matter in the organization's care.
We are certain that this policy will help to make all Globalcode events and training a more welcoming and integrating space for everyone.
This Code of Conduct has been adapted from the codes of conduct used by Wildtech and are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported.
