Mary is a Senior Developer Advocate and Software Engineer primarily in the Java and Open Source areas at IBM. She transitioned from Unix/C to Java around 2000 and has never looked back since then. She considers herself as a polyglot and loves to continue learning new and better ways of solving real-life problems. She is an active tech community organizer outside of her day job, and currently the president of the Chicago Java Users Group (CJUG).

As founder of the Keep Calm and Refactor project I help Java developers get their unruly code under control so they can work on fun and rewarding projects.

Víctor is a software engineer living in Guatemala City. Java Champion, OAS scholarships alumni, holder of a Msc. degree in Computer Science, OCA, OCP Java certifications and current CTO of Nabenik, with 10 years of experience in the Java Enterprise sector as college professor, developer and software architect.

Derk-Jan de Grood works as agile transition coach for Squerist. He has worked for organizations like ING Bank, RTL and Nationale Nederlanden and supported them in their Agile Transformation. He frequently publishes articles and columns for the major magazines. In 2014 he won the EuroSTAR testing excellence award. This year he published his 8th book called ?The waves of Agile? which deals with value delivery in medium and large organizations. Derk-Jan is an experienced trainer, workshop host and a regular (keynote) speaker at conference like Agile Business Day Venice, XP Days Copenhagen, Agile DevOps Conference USA and the Agile Testing Days and STAR conferences in Europe and America. As an open-source contributor, Otavio is directly involved in the Java world as an expert leader in several specifications both at the Java Community Process (JCP) and at the Eclipse Foundation. His work on the Apache and Eclipse Foundations helps projects such as MicroProfile and Jakarta EE to flourish.

She is Cloud Program Manager at Google with +20 years of experience with IT Management.For the last few years she has worked with digital transformation at finance industry as Cloud Services Manager. She is passionate about IT management: governance, processes, projects, teams and?. consistent results. Focused on supporting companies to transform their IT services through strategy definition, processes re-design, project delivery, communication alignment and teams and stakeholders engagement and inspiring.
